Make Your Mark

by Snail Adams

Snail’s ‘Make Your Mark’ project used the form of arborglyphs (tree carvings) to engage and involve local people in the creation of a collective public artwork. Snail explored local green spaces in Marsh Farm, finding arborglyphs and documenting them. Through a series of engaging workshops, residents explored their relationship with their environment and shared their perspectives. Make Your Mark culminated in collective placemaking where participants created tiles adorned with messages, drawings and personal reflections. This artwork is installed at Marsh Farm Community Centre.
