Introducing Cohort 3: Revoluton Associates Transforming Communities Through Creativity

We’re thrilled to announce three artists who will be bringing their vision, passion, and artistry to life through our funded projects with communities. Connecting people, stories and heritage in powerful ways is a priority for these artists – our latest cohort of Revoluton Associates.

Dionne Ible – Honouring the Windrush Legacy Through Mosaic

Dionne Ible is crafting a promising mosaic installation that celebrates the contributions and stories of Windrush-era immigrants. Featuring depictions of iconic ships, key landmarks like Vauxhall Motors and L&D Hospital and a poetic plaque, this piece will honour the rich heritage of those who shaped the community.

Dionne’s journey into mosaics began in 2002, blending her Caribbean and African roots into vibrant pieces made from glass, beads and reclaimed materials. Her work reflects her commitment to sustainability and creativity. Through this project, she’ll engage with the community to incorporate real stories into the installation, ensuring it resonates with history and heart.

Hayley Bromell – Capturing Irish Heritage Through Zines

Hayley Bromell’s project invites Luton’s Irish community to share their migration stories, preserving them through creative workshops, interviews and a vibrant zine. The final showcase will bring these stories to life with art, performances, and live Irish music.

As a poet and spoken word artist raised in Luton’s Irish community, Hayley’s work celebrates working-class culture and explores themes of emigration, identity and memory. Her project ensures that these vital stories won’t fade but remain a part of our shared history.
