Ramadan in Lockdown Luton — short film premiere

This crowdsourced short film was compiled from video footage submitted by people in Luton observing Ramadan in lockdown conditions, telling the story through the lens of ‘touch’.

The film chronicles the story of this holy month and highlights the poignancy of exploring ‘touch’ at a time when we are experiencing ‘absence of touch’.

Monologue & reflections inspired by Bury Park

At this event award-winning actor and playwright Sudha Bhuchar will also share a new monologue, ‘The Eid Hug’, performed by Naveed Khan.

Sudha will also share her reflections of celebrating Eid in her multi-faith/secular extended family, living a convivial multicultural life.

Live Q & A

After the film and performances, there will be a Q & A and open discussion with many of the participants who sent submissions for the film, chaired by Revoluton Arts’ Community Activist, Imrana Mahmood.

Register to take part in the Q & A on Zoom.
