Info

Poet, Lee Nelson and Revoluton invite you to a story-telling circle in the arms of the Waulud’s Bank ancient monument in Marsh Farm.

Waulud’s Bank is a human-made monument surrounding the source of the river Lea, it is older than Stonehenge and the perfect place to explore the eternal relationship between people, place and story.

Through a series of creative prompts and activities, you will have the opportunity to share memories, stories and experiences prompted by the local landscape. Your contributions will then be part of shaping the collection of poetry that Lee Nelson has been commissioned to write about the landscapes surrounding Luton.

What clothes should I wear?

Please wear sturdy shoes and outdoor clothing suitable for weather conditions on the day.

Will refreshments be available?

A selection of light, vegetarian refreshments will be provided.

Do I need to be an artist/poet to take part?

No this event is open to anyone who is interested in exploring the green spaces surrounding Luton. You will be guided through all creative activities at your own pace by Lee and the facilitation team.

Will I have to read poetry I create in front of others?

No, any responses you create that you’d like to share with Lee can be uploaded via a QR code provided at the event.

Do I need to create any poetry?

No, if you’d prefer simply to listen in, you are welcome to do so.
