Info

Join Haneefah Muhammad of Write To Be Heard for an unforgettable afternoon of poetry, storytelling and life lessons, as we celebrate the voices of remarkable women in UnBroken and OutSpoken.

This powerful event will showcase the lived experiences of local women aged 60 and over, each with a deep connection to Luton’s African Caribbean community. Through poetry and storytelling, they share personal journeys filled with resilience, triumph, and invaluable wisdom.

Too often, the voices of older Black women can go unheard, yet they carry the legacies of struggle, strength and survival. UnBroken and OutSpoken shines a light on these courageous torchbearers—women who have paved the way for future generations.

Expect an afternoon rich with emotion, wisdom and inspiration. These stories will move, challenge and remind us of the power of storytelling to bridge generations. Don’t miss this celebration of heritage, history and heartfelt expression!
