Info

This workshop will introduce participants to the traditional art of henna and explore its sacred significance.

Discover the depths of traditional forms of creativity and uncover pathways to their cultural and spiritual significance – a perfect opportunity to reconnect with yourself ahead of Ramadan.

Sam Hussain, henna artist and mindfulness coach, will guide you on a journey to inner peace and creative wellbeing, through learning about the beautiful world of henna body art and design.

Sam uses henna to promote well-being and improve mental health by delivering therapeutic workshops and retreats for women and young girls. These sessions encourage participants to embrace self-love, body positivity, and a deeper connection to themselves. She is a multidisciplinary artist, acapella singer, songwriter, mindfulness coach and therapeutic henna art therapist. Using henna as a creative and healing medium, Sam explores the challenges faced by Muslim South Asian women while celebrating their resilience, identity and belonging.
