We are seeking passionate individuals to join our Board of Trustees to support Revoluton Arts grow and deliver our mission to foster creativity in Luton and beyond.

Now is an exciting time in our development. Our work as a newly established Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) takes us beyond the geographical boundaries of Luton, delivering ambitious creative work additional to the remit of our primary funded programme, Creative People and Places (CPP).

We are looking for new Trustees to join us in our journey. We welcome expertise in the following areas:

  • Creative Practice: bringing connections and knowledge across arts presentation and socially engaged creative practices; supporting Revoluton Arts connect nationally and internationally
  • Finance and operations: a solid understanding of financial management and operational processes to guide the charity as we review and modernise the business model
  • Safeguarding: safeguarding experience and ability to advise the Board on current best practices towards safeguarding the people we work with, our staff and the larger community
  • Marketing: skills in developing and implementing effective marketing and communications strategies, particularly around digital and PR

Equity, diversity, and inclusion are at the heart of everything we do, from programming work with, by, and for Lutonians, to how we budget and build partnerships. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all, reflecting the diversity of Luton’s communities. We particularly encourage applications from individuals with lived experience in the communities we serve.

 

Time commitment

Trustees time commitment includes attending four board meetings per year (in person or virtually), an annual board development day, and potentially participating in ad hoc committees. We invite trustees to performances and events throughout the year.

We believe the Trustee role is a really rewarding one and is an opportunity to gain or consolidate valuable leadership and governance skills. We offer support and training to all Trustees as required.
