For Artists and Creatives

An introduction

Develop your practice working with communities.

Ongoing

Is this for me?

Anyone with a creative practice, aged 16+, whether you’re someone at the early stage of your creative career, or have had a career change into the arts and creativity, if you are someone who would like to develop professionally, or if you’re established as an artist and would like to evolve your socially engaged practice and join us in creating bold new work.

Info

We work with artists, creators and producers interested in working with people and place. Whether you’re starting out or more established, we have a range of projects to support you as you develop your artistic practice working with communities.

We commission and produce socially engaged projects with communities in Luton. We offer commissioning opportunities, from £300 micro commissions as Young Revolutonaries, to £5,000 commissions to become a Revoluton Associate.

We also work with international artists, creators and producers of large-scale events, projects and commissions. These larger commissions and productions are informed by conversations beginning in Luton and support us in our mission to produce bold work within and beyond our town.

We’re particularly interested in working with artists who want to develop projects in their own communities. If that’s you and you’re living in or you’re from Bury Park, Farley Hill or Marsh Farm, why not get in touch.

The communities we work with inform our programme, projects and commissions. Our Revoluton Associates commissions are steered by Lutonians through our Creative Assemblies, currently in Bury Park, Farley Hill and Marsh Farm. Often, residents will take part in decision making panels to commission projects.

Want to get involved? Check out our project and commission opportunities. Take a look at Platform for the latest work.  Join us in turning up the volume of Luton’s vibrant creative voices.
